Product Description

Realign your spine and reduce back pain without investing in an expensive inversion table with the Lynx portable back stretcher. A compact, portable solution for stretching, relaxing, and decompressing the body, the Lynx is a breeze to use: simply secure your ankles in the contoured foot supports, apply firm pressure to the leverage handles, and stretch. The self-administered traction--which commonly lengthens the skeleton by 1 to 1-1/2 inches--will help increase the flexibility in your joints, improve your posture through better alignment, and make you feel 10 years younger.

The Lynx is notably compact, with a folding frame that collapses to 20 by 3.5 by 11.5 inches--small enough to fit in the trunk of your car with ease. It also comes with a nylon travel bag, making it a breeze to carry. And best of all, the Lynx easily adjusts to fit almost any user. Just slide the shroud to the desired setting and you're set. Made of lightweight aluminum, the Lynx weighs 5.5 pounds and carries a five-year manufacturer warranty.

It works to stretch the lower back, but it isn't the perfect device

I tried this and almost sent it back because I found it made my knee hurt (I had a previous knee injury). Also, you use your arms and upper body strength to make it work, and until your back, arms, wrists and hands are used to it, it can bother those a bit too. Having said that, I decided to give it another chance and really feel it has benefited my low back, which is my main problem area, and has reduced my pain.

There are other devices to look into - most are more expensive and there are pros and cons for all of them. Many people do not get along with the inversion tables, and some should not use them. You can at least lay flat to use this one. It's nice to have someone release your ankles and remove the device so you don't have to try to sit up to get your ankles out of it right after stretching your back.

When you've suffered with low back pain for years and have tried all the expensive treatments (including surgery), it's nice to have something you can do for yourself at home.
awesome. period

The Lynx Back Stretcher works, and it works really well. The stretches take me less than 2 mins. And I save both time and hundreds of dollars when compared to the physical therapy sessions that I used to have. I use this about once every two days along with regular stretching, and it does the trick. My back pain isn't completely gone, but I've only had the lynx for 1 month and I've made substantial progress since getting this. I highly recommend.
Love this thing!

I've had back pain for most of my life. This is a very simple contraption. All it does it stretch you out. But when your back is tense and sore, a few minutes stretch works great!
Good but the Disc Traction Belt is better

Reviewer: CDC,
I bought this and was not too happy with the effect.
* First of all it DOES stretch your knees and ankles. How could it not? I don't need traction in my knees or ankles. Besides it is not too comfortable gripping around my ankles.
* Second, I need to decompress while lying on my stomach so I have a natural arch in my lumbar spine. The Lynx does not allow my to do this. If I decompress on my back, and especially with my lumbar spine flat (not arched) I tear my discs apart.

So for $70.00 LESS, I bought the Disc-Traction belt. It weight a couple ounces and folds up into the size of my hand. I can decompress in any position, it is comfortable, and does not pull on my ankles or knees.
VERY effective for managing back pain from prolapsed disc

5 stars! Bought the Lynx Portable back Stretcher on Amazon a few weeks back. I have 2 troublesome discs that give me a numbing pain in my lower back when I play too vigorously with my 6 year old. Previously I would have had to go to the Physio for a session of traction, but now I can take a few minutes at home and stretch out the spine using the Lynx. 10 minutes and I am good for another couple weeks. What more can I say? It allows me to lead a normal life again!
