I had visited a chiropractor several years ago, where I used to live, and since I was in so much pain I decided it would be a good idea to find myself a chiropractor and begin treatment as soon as possible. Then I got in touch with Great Life Chiropractic In Costa Mesa for my first scheduled appointment.

During my consultation with Dr.Candice McCowin, DC, I felt totally at ease because she genuinely seemed interested in why I was there. She inquired regarding the birth, my lifestyle, eating habits, and sleeping habits. On that day, it already seemed she was dealing with me as a whole person instead of the symptoms that have brought me there.

The first adjustment was remarkably successful! The pain in my shoulder, neck, and head withered away immediately. Since my body had recently been through so much with the pregnancy and c-section, I understood that the pain may come back. The best thing to do is to keep the spine maintained over time since it was a matter of the vertebral sublaxations (spinal imbalance putting pressure on the nervous system) and still being present.

After a couple of treatments, I realized that my young family can also receive benefits from chiropractic care. So I brought along my new baby, Sophia for Dr. McCowin to see. I was just concern on what she had gone through during the c-section. She has been spitting up more often, which I did not see in my son when he was a baby.

After witnessing Sophia’s positive results, I then decided Joseph might get over his constipation and insomnia with Dr. McCowin’s chiropractic care as well. Joseph has been under Dr. McCowin’s care for about a year now, and the results have been phenomenal. He lost his problem going to sleep at night and his constipation trouble.

My only regret is that I did not find Great Life Chiropractic sooner. I have read studies on how easy it would be for women to recover from pregnancy and birth after establishing chiropractic care instead of waiting to begin after delivery.
